A little about the game
Daily Number Sums is a number-selection puzzle. Choose cells so their values add up to the target beside each row and above each column. Every selected number contributes to both totals. Start with a compact 5×4 grid or choose a larger board, and use the calendar to try another date.

How to play
Click an undecided number to select it in green. Click it again to fade it out and exclude it from the totals, then once more to return it to undecided. Only green numbers count. Solve the grid by matching every row and column target at the same time.
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Select a number | Click an undecided number. It turns green and updates its row and column totals. |
| Exclude a number | Click a green number again. It fades and no longer counts toward the totals. |
| Reset a cell | Click a faded number again to return it to undecided. |
| Choose a date | Click the displayed date to open the calendar, then choose a day. |
A few tips before you play
- Check a number against both its row and its column before selecting it. Matching one total alone is not enough.
- Start with small targets or totals that are nearly complete; they often leave fewer combinations to consider.
- Use faded cells to mark numbers you have ruled out. They are notes, while green cells are the numbers in your answer.
Changing the date opens another puzzle and resets the timer. The listed controls were checked with a mouse; a small screen may be easier to use in fullscreen.
